KENGO

Knowledge Engine for Neurodivergent Growth & Opportunity

Every person has strengths worth discovering. KENGO is being designed to help connect those strengths with the experiences, observations and opportunities that shape a person’s journey. By bringing those pieces together, KENGO can help individuals, families, coaches and employers uncover possibilities and explore pathways towards meaningful work.

What is KENGO?

A different way of seeing the whole person.

KENGO is a software platform in development, built around a simple belief:

Every person has strengths worth discovering, nurturing and sharing with the world.

KENGO is being designed to bring together lived experience, observations from families and job coaches and carefully selected information about learning, development and work.

Instead of looking at one experience at a time, KENGO helps connect the pieces.

How it works

Notice

Information starts with real life.

Families, coaches and individuals bring observations, experiences and insights about what someone enjoys, how they learn, what comes naturally and where they may need support.

Connect

KENGO looks for relationships between those pieces.

Its AI is being designed to connect information over time and surface patterns or possibilities that might otherwise be overlooked or undiscovered.

Explore

The result isn’t an answer. It’s a place to start.

KENGO can help people use those insights to ask better questions, explore new possibilities and consider paths that fit the individual.

Built with people, not for them

The person stays in the conversation

KENGO is not designed to decide who someone is or what they can become. People should be able to review, respond to and shape the insights that emerge about them.

KENGO offers possibilities for discussion, not decisions about a person’s future

Built through hands-on collaboration

Doodle Pirates’ work with TERI participants and staff has helped shape how we think about learning, work and opportunity. Through testing an accessible toy production process, we saw firsthand how observations, adaptations and individual strengths can shape a better way of working.

Today, we’re continuing to learn from TERI’s established employment practices as KENGO’s first phase takes shape, utilizing the insights and knowledge from real people and real experiences.

One platform, different perspectives

For families

A clearer place to begin.

For parents facing a sea of information, KENGO aims to provide guidance rooted in their child’s interests, experiences and strengths and a sense of calm when it comes to their child’s future.

For coaches

A way to build on what you learn every day.

KENGO can help connect observations from coaching and training with information gathered over time, making those insights easier to carry forward.

For employers

A deeper understanding of how people work best.

KENGO aims to help employers better understand the individual and consider how workspaces and environments can be shaped so more people can thrive.

Built with care

KENGO doesn’t replace human help. It enhances it.

Privacy, individual choice and human judgment are central to KENGO’s design.

We’re building KENGO with the understanding that technology can help us see connections, but people remain at the center of the conversation.

Where we’re going

Opening more paths.

Step by step, KENGO aims to help individuals, families, coaches and employers learn together, creating more pathways to discover strengths, explore possibilities and build opportunities towards belonging, independence and meaningful work.

We’re still learning and developing what KENGO can become. And that’s part of the work.

If you run a program, employ neurodivergent individuals or study this work, we would love to build this with you.
